The controversy that has erupted over US 'Chefs for Seals' signing a pledge to boycott Canadian seafood is still raging. Eater asked one of the city's hardest working champions of sustainable seafood; award-winning chef, author and co-founder of the Ocean Wise programe chef Robert Clark to share his thoughts.
It's unfortunate that these US chefs have been misguided on what would be an appropriate approach to this issue. As someone who is dedicated to the health of the oceans, and a huge supporter of sustainably harvested Canadian seafood, I personally would have preferred they boycotted our oil!
