West End Beaujolais Nouveau Party; Food Talks Vol 10 Becomes Wine Talks

MOUNT PLEASANT— Launching the first in a series of wine dinners, Burdock & Co is teaming up with French winemaker Jean-François Bourdy for a one-time tasting menu on November 20. RAILTOWN— The Vancouver Foodster's Food Talks is back with a Wine Talks edition on December 10 with six wine writers/industry experts on hand to speak. Your ticket includes a tasting glass of Vancouver Urban Winery wine and there is a Q&A with each of the speakers as well as a prize draw. WEST END— Vive le Beaujolais Nouveau! Under French law, Beaujolais Nouveau wine is released at 12:01am, just weeks after the wine grapes have been harvested. Parties are held to celebrate this first wine of the season. Le Parisien on Denman, is celebrating this grand French tradition on Thursday, November 21 with a three-course family-style dinner, paired with Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau.
