NEW WEST— Wild Rice at the River Market has introduced a new winter menu and taken an interesting turn away from their usual delicious Chinese fare with many of their new additions. The new dishes include Poutine with curds and an aged cheddar plus stews, risottos, burgers and a weekly 'Hunter's Sunday Omelette'. [Eaterwire]

GRANDVIEW-WOODLANDS— Parallel 49 Brewing is dropping their Nitro-Infused Milk Stout today and it's available now in their tasting room as well as in private stores including Legacy Liquor in the Village. Why put nitro in beer? BC Beer Dude tells us that: "It gives malty beers an injection of flavour steroids as well as a smooth velvety mouthfeel C02 can't produce... the nito bubbles cascade downwards." He sent us this video which explains it all. [Eaterwire]
