MAIN STREET— On Thursday, 49th Parallel Cafe is throwing a rather cool tasting and roasting event to help raise funds for the Eastside Boxing Club which was recently damaged in a fire. For $20 you'll get to taste 49th's two new limited-edition Holiday Celebration coffees and the four new festive Lucky's doughnuts (we recommend the eggnog snowball); meet green coffee buyer, Laura Perry, who tell you about where the coffees were sourced; then have Saša Stojanovic from our roasting team guide you through the process of roasting your own coffee. You'll go home with a 100gm package of your coffee and the warm glow from helping a good cause. Limited slots are available for roasting, but further tickets for just the tasting and knowledge drop are available for $5 each. Two sessions are offered: 6pm – 7pm, and 7pm – 8pm. Tickets are
available via EventBrite. [Eaterwire]

Tickets for each dinner are $80 which includes sommelier-paired select and often rare Canadian wine, beer and spirits plus 10% discount in the Edible Canada Retail Store and on any future tours booked at the event. Also included is a copy of the recipes and wine pairings from the night. [Eaterwire]
