Vancouver's only VPN (Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana) certified Neapolitan pizzeria, Nicli Antica Pizzeria is joining forces with Québec craft beer pioneers Unibroue for a five-course beer and pizza dinner on September 10th, with Unibroue's Kelsey Atkinson on hand to talk about the pairings. The menu features four pizzas plus dessert with a pairing of their 'on the lees' Belgian-style beer with each course - yes, even with the stone fruit cobbler and vanilla bean gelato dessert - their dry rosé-like Ephémère Cherry beer.
With a triple crown of 'Best Pizza' wins under their belt this year (Gold, 'Best Pizzeria' at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, 'Best Pizza' from the WestEnder's Best of the City and 'Best Pizza' from the Georgia Straight's Gold Plates) the $45 tickets (which include meal, the pairings, tax and gratuity) are likely to sell out fast.
