Dine Out Festival Launch With Chef Soup Experiment

More than 50 chefs gathered this morning on Granville Island at Edible Canada to launch Dine Out Vancouver Festival with the "Chef's Soup Experiment". Each chef was asked to bring just one ingredient so that the students at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts can create a communal soup. Eater Vancouver contributed a marrow bone to the mix (thanks to Wildebeest for that).

Some of the city's best-known chefs including Rob Feenie, Ned Bell, Darren Brown and Chris Whittaker attended.
Find out if too many cooks spoil the broth or whether many hands make light work from 1230p.m. outside PICA (1505 West 2nd Ave) where the students will be dishing up free soup samples today.
UPDATED: Dine Out Festival tweeted at 1.37p.m. that they are "out of soup".
