DOWNTOWN— The Year of the Horse gallops off in style at the Shangri La with a Lion Dance and Eye Dotting Ceremony from Vancouver-based dance team Shao Lin Hung Gar in the hotel lobby at 11am on the 31. A special Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea will be served from 31 January till 28 February with a sweet and savoury lucky tea tower including BBQ pork brioche buns and black sesame rice balls in ginger soup as well as traditional scones and house-made jams for CAD$38 per person.
