UPDATE: Hawksworth Fundraiser Dinner For Chef Owen Lightly: Tickets on Sale SOLD OUT

UPDATE: There is a lot of love in the room - this dinner has now sold out - but don't feel left out; there is also a donation button on the site so you can still help out.
Last year Owen Lightly, one of the city's most loved and well-regarded chefs was dealt a severe blow with a diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. Owen wrote for Eater in October about how his relationship with food has changed since he's been undergoing treatment; one of the things he wrote was that: "Fighting cancer is all about love and positivity" and what better way to show the love than to help out someone who needs a hand? When you are self-employed - as Owen is with Naomi Horii, his partner in life and in their Butter on the Endive business; if you get sick it can feel like there is no safety net. You don't work - you don't get paid. And it's impossible to work when you're undergoing punishing treatment for cancer. So bring on the love from the restaurant community and beyond with this fundraiser dinner at Hawksworth on May 5.

Tickets are $200 per person, with only 50 seats available. Tickets include: a reception, four course menu and wine pairings. For further information contact Hawksworth Restaurant or call 604.673.7000.
