Van Wine Fest: That's a Wrap

Cheers to the 35th Vancouver Wine Festival who blew into town last week, giving everyone a totally legitimate excuse to get their lunchtime drunk on at the tasting room on bubbly from around the world. Time to take one last look through the lens of Eater photographer, Robyn Hanson. Hats off to the organisers, with sold-out seminars, winery dinners, tastings and parties showing that Vancouver loves its grapes. Overall there were 178 wineries that participated from 14 different countries with 52 of them from France. An astounding 1750 different wines poured, with an estimated 30,000 bottles poured over the week of the event. 54 events took place and approximately 23,000 people attended.
Last word goes to Lanson's Enguerrand Baijo: "If you're tired the day after drinking Champagne - the best cure is to drink some more."
