Bearfoot Bistro World Oyster Invitational and Bloody Caesar Battle; PNE Rib Fest Returns

WHISTLER— The fourth annual Bearfoot Bistro World Oyster Invitational and Bloody Caesar Battle has been announced - with a switch in venues to the Whistler Golf Club Practice Range across the street giving some very much-needed extra space to one of the most popular summer events in Whistler. The world's best shuckers and bartenders will be competing for big money prizes as well as well as raising funds for Playground Builders, a Canadian charity that builds playgrounds for children in war-torn areas. PNE— The Fourth Annual Vancouver Rib Festival is back at the PNE featuring Canada's top barbecue pit masters. Four National Teams will compete with ribs, brisket and pulled pork. [Eaterwire]

DOWNTOWN— A reminder that the Vancouver Tequila Expo takes place Saturday, May 31, 7-10p.m. at the Hyatt. Tickets, which include 20 tasting tokens are $54.75. Proceeds go towards benefitting the BC Hospitality Foundation.
