West End French bistro staple Le Parisien has closed to make way for a different concept. Say hello to Left Bank which promises "...a hybrid menu of bistro classics that have been kissed by the French colonies: North Africa, Asia and the Middle East." Other changes include a re-modelling to create a 60-seat restaurant with a 35 seat patio, and a brand new casual room with open windows onto Denman. Plus a bar with lounge seating where owner John Blakeley will make crepes following his sister recipe's from Brittany. Left Bank will serve lunch Monday to Friday, happy hour, weekend brunch and dinner nightly.
