Sumac Ridge Open Season for Yoga and Wine Tasting; Downtown Gyoza Bar Menu Reveal

GASTOWN Secret Location's chef Jefferson Alvarez is hosting a one-of-a-kind collaborative feast with Thiago Castanho, Executive Chef of Remanso do Bosque, one of the 50 best Latin American restaurants. The 16 course dinner with snacks and drinks will be 'an exploration of the senses.' Tickets for the 'Four Hands Dinner' are $300 plus tax, For reservations email Virginie Rins, General Manager. [EW]

DOWNTOWN— News from the hotly-anticipated Gyoza Bar from the Minami/Miku team, who will be giving a new twist to gyoza in the city by making extra-crispy Teppan Gyoza which "...use an ancient Japanese cooking technique with "imono" cast iron pans." They will also serve ramen hand-made in-house with a north American take on a new Japanese popular flavour: tomato, to create a tomato-saffron seafood broth. Opening is still on track for July. [EW]
