One of Whistler's most-anticipated social events, the Bearfoot Bistro World Oyster Shucking Invitational and Bloody Caesar Battle recently took place with Joe Fortes chef Wayne Sych and Cioppino's Pino Posteraro on judging duties. Vancouver's Issac Del Campo bagged the $5,000 prize—courtesy of Sawmill Bay Shellfish Company - and Whistler's Amy Huddle from Sushi Village scooping her $5,000 prize from Ketal One for her Oishi Caesar. For the first time, the event took place at the Golf Club Practice Range, giving party-goers more space to slurp and sip in the sun. Eater photographer Tallulah was on hand to capture the action.
