Aprons For Gloves Two-Time Champ Shaylen "Sugar Shay" Washburn Forced To Drop Out

The third annual Aprons for Gloves restaurant rumble fundraiser boxing match is coming up tomorrow with the city's baristas, bartenders and cooks battling it out to raise funds for at-risk women and youths in the DTES. The current - and only - two time Women's Lightweight champ, Sugar Shay has dropped out of this year's fight.

It was a devastating decision to make, as Aprons For Gloves means the absolute world to me. But I have decided to give up my belt and come back next year when my health and fitness is better. I have been having troubles with asthma and it is best I sit this one out.
