DOWNTOWN — After ReUp BBQ's truck got totalled last year, we've been missing their presence downtown, alas, it looks like if you want to hit up their sweet barbecue and chicken, you'll still have to make the pilgrimage out to New West to the River Market, but where their truck used to be as of today, you'll find a new farmers market-inspired kiosk featuring local, sustainably farmed fruit and produce as well as products and snacks prepared by local businesses - including bacon and cured meats from ReUp and bitters from Bittered Sling. Meet the FarmCity Fresh Cart, a partnership between Re-Up BBQ and FarmCity Co-op (24 Avenue Farm, Barefoot Farms, Cherry Lane Farm, Earth Apple Farm, Farmers on 57th, Giddy Up and Grow, Urban Digs Farm and Urban Edibles). You'll find the FCFC at the corner of Hornby and West Georgia, most weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m and at Hyack Square in New Westminster, most weekday evenings from 4 to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays [EW]
