The brand new Chambar opened its doors yesterday morning for breakfast, and they stayed open for lunch, dinner, and will even be serving brunch on the weekends. Yes, it is much larger than the old location, but they have worked hard to retain the same feel while adding elements like an outdoor patio to make it even better.
As for the food, not to worry. According to Scout it's all there, but the more important thing is still there too:
"The quality of the food and drink, in my mind at least, is something of a given. I have no doubts about the kitchen or bar staff. The big question for most people will be this: "Does it feel like the original?" And it's a fair question to ask, because in addition to the great drinks and delicious food, Chambar tabled a tangible soul — which is a rare thing in the restaurant business...I think the answer to that question is a big yes. Chambar remains Chambar, all day and well into the night."
The article also contains some pictures of the finished interior, so take a look and then see the work in progress photos to see just how far the restaurant has come in the past month. They will likely be quite busy these first few weeks in particular, but according to Facebook they are taking reservations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so take advantage and contact Chambar by phone: 604 879 7119 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
