DOWNTOWN— Fresh from their recent Diner en Blanc sell-out success, the Social Concierge is partnering with Wet Ape to launch a brand new event this fall down at the QE plaza. Between October 2-5, Harvest Haus will bring a mini-Munich to Vancouver with "everything from medieval minstrelsy to Bavarian brass oompah bands to live DJs" in an "immersive Oktoberfest-themed setting." Think Spätzle, Brezen, Bratwürst, Schnitzel and Sauerkraut teamed with European beers. Tickets range from $25 to $50 and will be available on Friday, September 5 at 10 am. OKANAGAN— Mission Hill currently has an "Encounters with Iceland" sculpture exhibit on display until October 2014 and to celebrate they have their first-ever Limited Release Artist's Series Wines. Each of the limited edition wine labels features one in a series of 20 photographs of acclaimed Icelandic artist Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir's work. The images are on the bottles of Mission Hill Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2012 and Mission Hill Riesling Icewine 2013, available exclusively at the Wine Boutique at Mission Hill Family Estate. [EW]
