Cinara to Open For Lunch; New Squamish Distillery Gillespie's Fine Spirits Almost Ready to Open

DOWNTOWN— [EW] Cinara will be serving a lunch menu as of September 30 from 11.30a.m. till 2.30p.m. No word yet on the menu but it will be "in keeping with Cinara's light style fare using locally sourced ingredients where possible and European techniques." More as we get it. [EW]

SQUAMISH— There's (almost) a new distillery in town, the soon-to-open Gillespie's in Squamish. The brainchild of La Mezcaleria's Kelly Woods and her partner John, they'll be making all their products from 100% BC grains. On the still so far: Gastown Shine Vodka, Lemoncello, Aphro Chili Chocolate aphrodisiac elixir, Sin Gin "the sexiest gin in the world" and V-Twin Vodka made from rye. Their tasting room will be open in the next few weeks and they'll be selling product at farmer's markets. [EW]

CAMBIE— It's Craft Beer Thursday this week over at the 39th and Cambie BC Liquor Store from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. Explore award winning and local craft beers that are new to the BC market while enjoying gourmet cheese pairings provided by chef Celine Turenne. Free to attend. [EW]
