Fundraising Site Launched For Beloved Vancouver Chef and Mentor, Tina Fineza

One of Vancouver's most popular and well-respected chefs and mentors, Tina Fineza has been diagnosed with aggressive stage three bilateral breast cancer. The Vancouver culinary scene and beyond, are, of course, gathering forces behind her and her partner in life and work, Annette with benefit events soon to come.

However, one of the joys of working for yourself is also one of the trials when it comes to being sick - if you don't work, you don't get paid - and Tina will be taking a leave of absence from their company Service Excellence for a minimum of one year.

So with that in mind, a Fundrazr page has been set up:

Although this prognosis is severe, Tina's passion and drive will see her through this challenging time. Her years spent working with fellow chefs she admired in kitchen brigades throughout Vancouver such as Lumière, Diva at the Met and Bin 942 have provided her with the building blocks she needs to face this battle. Your love, support and financial help will lessen the strain of the exhausting journey ahead.
