Chinese love celebrating family holidays with auspicious dishes such as noodles (longevity) and dumplings (wealth and family). The authenticity here is through the roof, despite being located on Robson - with the steaming soup buns, hand made noodles, and tasty beef rolls all great choices.
Superb value over at the Copper Chimney who are serving a three-course dinner between 5pm – 10pm, of "traditional turkey infused with spices of Mother India" for just $32 pp. Expect to be "serenaded" by the in-house vocalist.

Skip the turkey - and head down to Red Star for their famous roasted duck. Have it Peking style with the crisp skins served with steamed pancakes, the rich meat served in lettuce wraps. The restaurant is famous for all of their roasted meats - get some crackling roasted pork as an appetizer.
