Where to Watch Team Canada Play Hockey

View as Map

So it's not the same as watching it happen live - or even with the crowds at the Molson Hockey House - but the next best thing could be watching Team Canada over a beer or Caesar-soaked breakfast with a crowd of like-minded fans in any of these venues on the 13, 14 and 16. Tell your boss that something patriotic came up and get ready to cheer on our team.

Thus far, we know of no venue that's allowed to screen the Gold Medal game on Sunday at 4am. (thank you, fun police.) If you hear of one - let us know.

No need for North Shore'ers to fret - Sailor Hagar's is open for hockey-business and will be serving up rib-sticker breakfasts as well as their craft-brewed beers.

The Dover Arms Pub and Wine Store

Old-school neighbourhood pub with a reliably rowdy crowd. Worth staying for brunch for the Finland game on Sunday 16 - bring a friend, get a free brunch.

Score On Davie

Cheery mixed gay-and-straight-friendly sports bar with engagingly ludicrous Caesars list such as the Big Score which sports a garnish of bacon, hard-boiled egg, sausage, perogie and onion rings.

The Blackbird Public House & Oyster Bar

CTV cameras will be on hand to capture the action for the first game on Thursday at 9am here and you can score $5 pints. Line your stomach with a special Olympic breakfast sandwich of fried chicken, gravy and cheddar.

St. Regis Bar & Grill

Usefully situated next to the Skytrain bang in the heart of Downtown this is the smart choice for a hasty post-game exit. Breakfast and cocktails will be served and guests can enter to win an official team canada jersey. Draw will be on Monday!

The Charles Bar

No breakfast on offer but as the lunch menu boasts a killer scotch egg you'll still get your sausage fix. Also - all domestic sleeves $3.99 on Thursdays.

Yaletown Brewing Company

You had us at 'breakfast pizzas'. And, of course, the excellent selection of in-house brewed craft beers. But yeah, mostly the idea of breakfast pizza (Bechamel, cheddar cheese, bacon, potato and salsa bravas with 2 sunny side up eggs.)

LOCAL Public Eatery Kitsilano

Huge screens. Everywhere. This is the place to be for Kits Hockey Nuts. Great beer selection and rather delicious sandwiches.
